Meet Katie

More than a jockey. A mother. A fighter. A legacy in motion
I'm a professional jockey competing on the prestigious New York Racing Association (NYRA) circuit, riding at tracks like Belmont, Aqueduct, and Saratoga.
I was raised in a horse racing family and now I'm racing alongside my siblings. I'm excited to be starring in Netflix’s Race for the Crown, a documentary showcasing the untold stories in the sport — and my journey is one you won't forget.
My story isn’t just about horses — it’s about family, grit, motherhood, and breaking barriers in a male-dominated sport.

A Family in the Saddle
I come from one of racing’s most remarkable families:
- Husband, Trevor McCarthy, is a fellow jockey and fierce competitor.
- Father, Robbie Davis, is a former jockey turned trainer.
- Brother, Dylan Davis, is a top NYRA jockey.
- Sister, Jackie Davis, also rides professionally.
- Brother, Eddie Davis, trains racehorses.
Together, they’ve shaped me into the competitor I am today — fueled by love and little sibling rivalry :)
